When you smile, the body releases happy hormones like endorphins, oxytocin, serotonin, and dopamine. These hormones can override the ill effects of too much adrenaline and cortisol, stress-producing hormones that respond to demanding situations like high-pressure jobs, financial difficulties, challenging relationships and with everything that is going on, increasing the risk of developing illnesses.
